Loro-Oyam SACCO is a member owned, controlled and managed financial institution which provides financial services to its members at affordable terms and conditions. The SACCO started as a Cash round Group and later registered as a SACCO in 2012 with registration number 16091/RCS with Registrar of Co-operative and opened officially on the 7th January 2013. During its inception, the SACCO had only 33 members, Share Capital of 660,000 UGX, no Savings and Loans then but right now the SACCO has at least 3,265 members, Loan Portfolio of 657,692,600 million Ugx, Savings of 415,814,400 Million Ugx, and Share Capital of 115,515,000 Million Ugx.
The SACCO is operating in Oyam, Apac, Kole, Kwania, Alebtong, Lira and in other neighboring Districts. We’re is located in Loro Town Council, Oyam District along Lira-Kamdini high way. The SACCO is governed by the Annual General Meeting which is the supreme body, Supervisory Committee, Board of Directors and Management.
